TOPIX: +23.90 (+1.5%) to 1,639.79; Advancers 1,313 x decliners 337 (unch. 72), New highs 28 x new lows 21; 30/33 sectors posted gains
Jasdaq: +8.91 (+0.5%) to 1,869.43
Yen: slightly weaker against US$ last around 115.60 level; slightly stronger against euro to 164.10 level
Notes: Emerging indices MOTHERS and HERCULES were both gained 2.8%. It was the Nikkei 225′s first close over 17,000 since Aug. 9.
